Form of Ownership – Leasehold In Thailand, foreigners cannot own land outright. Therefore, a legal and secure form of investment is a land lease combined with the freehold purchase of the house. The land lease agreement is concluded for a period of 30 years, with the option to renew for an additional 30 years.
